Assessment Design and Alignment II: Performance and Authentic Assessments

This second course in the series focuses on designing performance-based and authentic assessments that reflect real-world application and promote deeper learning. Educators will learn to create tasks and rubrics that support equity, foster student voice, and align with high-priority outcomes. Participants will apply backward design, analyze student work, and revise their assessments through collaborative cycles to ensure alignment, coherence, and impact across diverse learning contexts.

While the two courses are designed to complement each other, they may be taken independently, concurrently, or in any order. There are no prerequisites, and participants are welcome to enroll in one or both courses based on their professional goals and interests.
