Assessment Design and Alignment I: Selected and Constructed Response

This 9-week course supports educators in designing high-quality selected- and constructed-response assessments that align with meaningful learning outcomes. Participants will deconstruct standards, evaluate assessment alignment, explore research-based design principles, and craft assessments that yield actionable data. Through real classroom application, peer feedback, and reflection, educators will strengthen their assessment literacy and create tools that support rigorous, responsive instruction.

While the two courses are designed to complement each other, they may be taken independently, concurrently, or in any order. There are no prerequisites, and participants are welcome to enroll in one or both courses based on their professional goals and interests.
